Aaron Calderon

I am Aaron Calderon, an L. E. Dickson Instructor at the University of Chicago.

From 2022–25, I was also an NSF postdoc at Chicago. I completed my Ph.D. in 2022 at Yale, under the direction of Yair Minsky. Before Yale, I received my B.S. in 2016 from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where I was advised by Susan Hermiller.

My research concerns geometric structures on Riemann surfaces and their moduli, and lies at the interface of dynamics, hyperbolic geometry, low-dimensional topology, geometric group theory, and algebraic geometry.
