Hi there! I’m Aaron Calderon, a Ph.D. student working towards his degree in mathematics at Yale as an NSF Graduate Research Fellow and a Lang Fellow. My advisor is Yair Minsky.

Before Yale, I received my B.S. in mathematics from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where I was advised by Susan Hermiller. In addition to my time at UNL, I participated in the Math in Moscow program in the spring of 2015 and the Mathematics Advanced Study Semesters (MASS) program at Penn State in the fall of 2013.

My research interests include geometric group theory, hyperbolic geometry and formal language theory. See my research page for a more detailed overview.
